I seek to serve you as the British Columbia representative on the Federal Council of the Green Party of Canada. Let's heal our politics as well as our planet.

Let's go! or, Continue Reading…

Why Is This Important?

The appetite among Canadian voters for Green policies and candidates is clearly growing, but still not growing fast enough to win more than a handful of races. We cannot afford another tepid response to the climate emergency like we saw in 2019. Our country and our planet cannot sit and wait, for instance, for electoral reform. We have to act now.

Why Dana Taylor?

As a candidate—first for the BC Greens in the 2017 BC election and then for the Green Party of Canada in the 2019 Federal election, I have first-hand experience: not only from listening to voters' demand for Green policies, but also knowledge of the kind of material support from the National Office that we need to make a Green Wave happen.

As a career association executive, as well as a founder and director of other mission-driven organizations over the years, I have the experience and skills and know specifically how to create the support structure that will finally turn Canada Green.

A Finder of Common Ground

A big part of my job as a Trade Association Executive was to work with other organizations, government agencies, Ministers and MPs to develop innovative ways to partner on getting things done in a responsible manner — to support small businesses and grow employment while preserving or improving the local environment.

Advocate and promoter of Prompt Payment legislation
Promoting both federal and provincial legislation that ensures that small businesses and contractors get paid for completed work on a timely basis, thus improving cash flow to enable more employee training, hiring and business expansion.
Supporting Canadian Environmental Equipment manufacturing opportunities in China
In 2014 led a Canadian delegation to Chaozhou, China concluding a framework agreement for development of Environmental Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, creating opportunities for Canadian business development in China.
Coalition to create legislation to License Qualified Contractors to protect Consumers
In 2001 led an industry coalition of trade contractors resulting in 3rd reading of legislation to require contractors to be licensed as qualified businesses for the protection of consumers.
Received Government Affairs Award for Advancing Funding for Apprenticeship Trades Training
In 2006 the Canadian Society of Association Executives of BC recognized my work with a colleague to mobilize a coalition of construction association to convince the provincial government to create the training tax credit program allocating $90 million over 3 years as incentive to companies to train workers.
